Fine lines and wrinkles are formed on the face through the contracting of the facial muscles. However, if the muscles are relaxed, fine lines and wrinkles smooth out and do not have the opportunity to form deeper ridges and creases on the face. When Botox (or Botulinum Toxin Type A) is injected into the muscles, it effectively stops the nerve signals sent to the muscles. The muscles are prevented from contracting and this results in muscle relaxation, smoothing out facial lines and wrinkles to create a youthful appearance.

Botox treatments particularly target lines found on the forehead (worry lines), frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow’s feet around the sides of the eyes, and even lines on the neck. Botox is also popular as a preventative measure against aging. Patients who begin to use Botox in their 20’s and 30’s will have less fine lines and wrinkles appear in the Botox targeted areas because the muscles will be relaxed and unable to produce those wrinkles.
Botox is not permanent and on average lasts for about 3 to 6 months depending on how quickly a person’s body metabolizes it.
The main key to achieving proper Botox injection results is to choose an expert Botox injector. Proper Botox injection techniques should result in a younger, smoother appearance, at the same time preserving a natural amount of facial expression. Dr. Meadows and our trained nurse injectors work with each patient to customize an approach that naturally suits their face, carefully mapping patient facial muscles in order to achieve the desired results. Our facial cosmetic patients are well taken care of and can rest assured that only a Botox expert has provided their treatment.

Botox is the top-rated facial cosmetic, non-surgical treatment around the world because it is so easy, and eliminates fine lines and wrinkles so effectively. It is unquestionably an amazing procedure to help combat the aging process.

Microneedling with PRP (platelet-rich plasma), also known as a “Vampire Facial,” is a powerful treatment designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while enhancing the skin’s natural glow. This innovative procedure begins with a blood draw from your arm, which is processed in a centrifuge to separate your blood into three layers: red blood cells, platelet-poor plasma, and platelet-rich plasma. The platelet-rich plasma, rich in growth factors and proteins, is then applied to the treatment area after microneedling is performed using SkinPen. As the microneedling creates micro-injuries in the skin, the PRP penetrates deeply, stimulating collagen production and delivering nourishing elements to the skin. The treatment is quick, with minimal discomfort (numbing cream is available) and low downtime, making it convenient for those with busy schedules. Results are long-lasting and continue to improve over time. With collagen and elastin production naturally decreasing after age 25, microneedling with PRP offers a safe, effective way to maintain youthful, vibrant skin. Performed in a series of three treatments, our experienced providers will carefully monitor your progress to ensure the best possible outcomes for radiant, rejuvenated skin.

HOW IT WORKS;
After a small blood draw, your clinician will apply a topical anesthetic to your face. Then they’ll pass over it with a microneedling pen or derma-roller. These devices prick tiny holes in your skin, stimulating its natural healing processes – and creating channels for the PRP. In addition, the tiny breaks in the skin stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin which allows for facial rejuvenation by reducing the appearance of facial wrinkles and scars.

The microneedling portion of the procedure typically takes about 30 minutes – giving your clinician plenty of time to centrifugate that blood sample into PRP.
Next, your clinician will massage the PRP into the treated areas of the skin.. This helps the platelets and beneficial growth factors in PRP penetrate deep into your skin so they can work their rejuvenating magic.
Finally, your clinician will apply a balm to your face to reduce redness and irritation. The treatment usually takes less than two hours in total, and it has little to no downtime. Many patients return to work the next day.

Microneedling

Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a procedure that encourages the production of collagen through tiny needle punctures in the top layers of the skin. This amazing skin rejuvenation procedure is minimally-invasive, helps minimize the signs of aging, and improves the appearance of scars.

Chemical Peeling
A chemical peel, also known as chemexfoliation or dermapeeling, uses a chemical solution to improve the appearance of your skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to your skin, which causes trauma or injury to your skin’s layers. The skin layers eventually peel off revealing more youthful skin. The new skin is usually smoother with fewer lines and wrinkles, has a more even color and is brighter in complexion.
What conditions does a chemical peel treat?
Chemical peels are used to treat certain skin conditions or to improve your appearance by improving the tone and texture of your skin.
Chemical peels are most commonly performed on your face, neck or hands. They can help reduce or improve:
• Fine lines under your eyes or around your mouth and wrinkling caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors.
• Certain types of acne.
• Mild scarring.
• Sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, uneven skin coloring.
• Precancerous scaly spots called actinic keratosis.
• Rough skin, scaly patches, dull complexion.
• Dark patches (melasma) due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills.

You will work with your dermatologist to determine the depth of your peel. This joint decision can vary depending upon the condition of your skin and the objectives of treatment.
Sags, bulges, deep scars, deep facial lines and more severe wrinkles don’t respond well to chemical peels. If these are your concerns, other cosmetic surgical procedures, such as carbon dioxide laser resurfacing, a face lift, brow lift, eye lift or soft tissue filler will be better options. A dermatologic surgeon can help determine the best treatment for your concerns.

Is a chemical peel good for all skin types?
Generally, superficial peels can be used on all skin types. However, if you have a darker skin tone, you have a greater risk of experiencing a darkening of your skin after treatment. This condition is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. If you have a naturally darker skin tone, you may want to get the advice of your dermatologist about other less aggressive treatments to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
